Google Today has released a new update to Google Maps on the iOS platform, and this new update upgrades the app to version 4.47, making it compatible with Google Maps for the Android platform. The official change record indicates that this update also brings some fixes along with new features that help users discover and navigate new places. A new feature allows users to easily label reviews by ratings and other factors. The additional traffic information will tell users specifically what entry they need to access to where they want to go. This feature is available in New York, Hong Kong, Taipei, Paris, Los Angeles, Delhi, Moscow, Singapore, Madrid, Barcelona, Kiev and Budapest, while more cities will be added in the future.

The most useful feature built into the new Google Maps update on the iOS platform is probably the ability to show wait times in restaurants for more than a million restaurants around the world. Average waiting times will be displayed every hour throughout the day so that users know at a glance what are the peak hours in the restaurant and the waiting period.
