Galaxy S9 / S9+ will receive ARCore support in the near future
Google's enhanced ARCore software development package does not currently support Samsung's latest high-end phones, which are of course the Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9. However, this will soon change because, according to a Google AR team member, support for these devices will come soon.
If you have not heard of ARCore before, it is an enhanced reality software package that comes in response to the ARKit Enhanced Reality Software Development package released by Apple last year. This package aims to bring enhanced reality experiences to existing and upcoming smartphones without the need for any additional hardware.
The ARCore SDK version was released by Google in August last year and has recently released its first official version 1.0.
