Samsung has been working on the development of Galaxy S10 processor since last January

Samsung is one of the few smartphone manufacturers that manufactures its own processors for its portable devices. For the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+, Samsung's two latest phones, they come with the Exynos 9810 processor, which is the rival of Qualcomm's Snapdragon 845 processor and used in some units of the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+. In the event that the rumor that we received today from China is correct, Samsung seems to have already begun to develop the Galaxy S10 processor.

It is not as if this is not logical. The process of developing processors and semiconductors in general is not easy at all; it takes a lot of time to get to the processor required and ready for use in consumer-oriented devices.

This new rumor, which we have received from a Chinese source and which has always been honest in the past, presents us with a list of projects on which Samsung is working. This list shows that Samsung has already started working on the Exynos 9820 processor since last January. This infusion also reveals to us that Samsung is working on a modem that supports fifth generation networks and a number of other projects.

Needless to say, the Exynos 9820 will be a successor to the Exynos 9810 processor currently used on the Galaxy S9 and will also be used in the Galaxy Note 9 later this year. Unfortunately, the technical specifications of the Exynos 9820 processor are not available at the moment, but it is unlikely that this processor will be manufactured using a 7 nm process as the production lines will not be ready in time for the launch of the Galaxy S10, In previous reports.
