Huawei's first 5G smartphone will arrive next year

Major telecom operators in key markets, such as North America, are struggling to launch their own 5G VLANs by next year, at least in selected markets. Users will not be able to take full advantage of this high-speed network if they do not have compatible devices. That is why we can expect to see smartphones that support V5G networks in the not too distant future. Huawei, one of the fastest growing smartphone manufacturers in the world, announced that it will release a smart phone that supports fifth generation 5G networks in the second half of next year.

Huawei has pledged to launch its fifth-generation mobile phone in the second half of next year at the annual Global Analysts Summit held in Shenzhen, a city in southeast China.

It is clear that smart phones that support the fifth generation 5G networks require modems that support this high-speed network. While suppliers such as Samsung are developing the next generation of modem chips, Huawei said that its next smartphone will have its own modem supporting the fifth generation 5G .

The time frame indicates that Huawei will release the 2019 version of the Huawei Mate as the first smart phone to have a modem supporting 5G VLANs. Huawei has already unveiled its first modem to support fifth-generation networks under Huawei Balong 5G01 at the CES 2018 Consumer Electronics Show, which was held in January in Las Vegas. It was initially used on non-smart devices because of the power requirements of the chip, but the company is expected to make significant improvements to its modem before it starts shipping with its next flagship phone next year.
