How to use Samsung Smart Switch correctly

How to Install Samsung Smart Switch on Your Computer
We'll show you the installation on Windows, but it's a standard install on Mac as well:


  • Go to the Samsung Smart Switch Web site.
  • Click on the download link for Windows or Mac, whatever system you use, for this method we use Windows.
  • Click to play the downloaded .exe file ".dmg on your Mac."
  • If you receive an error message stating that the application failed to start because the side-by-side configuration is incorrect, download and install the Microsoft Visual C ++ package.

How to set up Smart Switch for the first time
  • Run the Smart Switch application after installing from the desktop icon on your computer.

Once the app is turned on and connected to your phone, backing up your data is very easy:

  • Run the application on the computer.
  • Click Backup.
