3 Things You Need to Know About New Privacy Settings in Windows 10

Microsoft gives you greater control over your data and account with Windows 10. To get to know new features such as calendar and nearby sharing and apply larger and better settings, you'll need to learn about new privacy settings.

Set Application Permissions in Windows
Previously, you could assign app permissions to the kinds of information the app can access on your system, including your location, camera, microphone, and files, but you need to look deeper into your privacy settings to find it.

You can now see a useful list of installed applications and assign permissions to each application by going to Settings and then going to Applications. Then you have access to the applications and features, then select Apply and click Advanced Options, then use the switches to set application permissions.

Delete the information that Microsoft has collected about you
Microsoft is more transparent about the information it collects from you through the Diagnostic Data Viewer application. It makes it easy to scan this information by adding a large and precise delete button to the Settings application. You can go to Settings and Privacy then choose Diagnostics & feedback. At the basic level or full level, you will find the lowest button that will delete which will eliminate all data collected by Microsoft from your computer.

Just click the delete button. There is an area called Diagnostic data viewer, make sure that its switch is turned on, and then click it. The Microsoft Store will then open to install the Diagnostic data viewer. Run the application and you will be able to see what Microsoft has collected about you.

Recover password for local accounts
In the past if you choose to log on to your Windows 10 computer not with your Microsoft account but with a local administrator account, it is best not to forget your password because "local" means you are on your own.

The company offered password recovery instructions for Microsoft accounts only by updating creators, where you can assign 3 security questions to a local account, which you can answer if you can not remember your password, where you can set up security questions by going to Settings Accounts, Logon Options, and then click Update Security Questions to set up security questions.
