Facebook users can now check if their data has been retrieved by Cambridge Analytica

Because of the privacy scandal that Facebook found itself involved in, we are sure there are many users who may be concerned about the possibility of being affected by it. The good news is that Facebook has released a tool that allows users to check if their data has been retrieved by Cambridge Analytica.

For those affected and their data collected, there will be a message letting them know about it and taking them to the Help Center page, which provides users with more information about how their data was misused. The subtraction is expected over time, and if you do not see it now, that does not mean you're not affected.

For people who have not been affected, they'll see, as shown above, notifications at the top of their feed to let them know which apps and websites may have access to their data. A link to the page will also be provided where users can manage applications and websites that use their data.

Previously, Facebook also announced that users who wish to delete applications linked to their Facebook accounts will be able to do so in the future, and that is what is happening now. According to Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg, he said about applications that misuse user data by saying: "If we find developers misusing personal identification information, we will block it and tell everyone who is affected by these applications"
