Despite privacy issues, Facebook users do not change their privacy settings
Now everyone must have heard about the privacy scandal that Facebook found itself involved in. There's such an uproar that the #DeleteFacebook movement has been created to invite users to stop using Facebook to protect their privacy, but despite all the hype, Facebook users do not seem to change their privacy settings.
According to a recent report from the Wall Street Journal, it seems that the majority of Facebook users have not changed their privacy settings. "We have not seen significant changes in behavior with people who say I will not share any data with Facebook anymore," said Carolyn Everson, vice president of global marketing solutions at Facebook.
According to Carolyn Everson, she also believes that, despite everything that has happened, she does not expect that this will affect the earnings or the way Facebook works so much. If we suspect that this is true, it seems interesting because, since Facebook revealed the misuse of data by Cambridge Analytica, the company has taken many steps to make it easier for users to modify their privacy settings, but many users do not seem to benefit from it.
We're not sure why, but there could be some users who still do not know what these settings are doing, or maybe they just do not care, but what do you think you are? Have you changed your privacy settings on Facebook after making a fuss about the subject?
