Chrome Store prohibits digital currency mining extensions

The hijacking of the user's device and the exploitation of its capabilities to carry out certain tasks has been common for a long time, but recently the trend began to increase more towards the mining of digital currencies, and appeared scripts injected in sites or applications or even add-ons browsers exploit the processor device used for currency mining, and announced that it will prevent such Practices regarding Chrome browser extensions.

The company announced that it would block any addition to a digital coin-mining script. Starting today, the addition of a new Chrome browser is included in the store. These scripts will be blocked by Google, and the previously approved additions will be removed by the end of July.

US technology companies recently launched a new digital currency war with users' devices, as Facebook joined Google and announced a ban on digital currency ads, preceded by Twitter.

Digital currency mining is harmful to users' devices, as it consumes all the processor power, makes it hard to perform other tasks, and consumes large electrical power, making the laptop battery reach its limits quickly.

Of course, since Chrome has more than 1 billion users, Google's imposition of these new standards to maintain the integrity of its users' devices will annoy developers of scripts and browser add-ons who will no longer receive more currencies by following these methods.
