YouTube application on Android is testing a new design for notifications

The new feature shows notifications for each video, video title, channel name, video thumbnail, and video post time.

In recent weeks, YouTube has received a number of new features, including automatic vertical video support and ease of live streaming through personal computers and mobile devices, and other features are being tested, most notably the "rich notifications" feature.

The new feature shows notifications for each video, video title, channel name, video thumbnail, and video post time, with the newer video showing up below other videos with smaller thumbnails. As each notification expands, options will appear: the first to play the video and the other to turn off the notification, as well as the option to watch later.

YouTube notifications currently show the channel image, while the notifications being tested are miniaturized on the video, which will help users see the video content before watching it.
