SnapeChat expels 100 employees in the advertising sector


A new round of layoffs took place at Snape, where 100 employees were involved in advertising.

According to Omran Khan, head of strategy at Snab, senior managers were asked to check their teams and ensure proper use of resources to achieve the company's goal. This means removing jobs and laying off employees who do not need them now.

Snape had expels 120 engineers earlier this month in its focus to reduce the number of employees in the engineering and content sectors. There have been earlier rumors about Snape's excessive use of the company's advertising and launching new products to try to compete with Facebook and Google.

But after the official financial results, Snape did not achieve satisfactory revenue growth for three quarters of a row, prompting the company to change the way ads are sold and to switch to the electronic auction system to reach more advertisers, which in turn led to lower advertising prices compared to the traditional way.

The new round of layoffs focused on the area of ​​advertising because of the reliance on the automated way of setting up campaigns, pricing, negotiating and bidding.

This is the third time Snape has laid off staff during the year. The company wants to make profits by the end of this year, so layoffs and expenses are part of achieving the goal.
