Mate 11 phone may come with a fingerprint sensor on screen

After Vivo released the first fingerprint sensor under the screen with vivo X20 Plus UD and X21 UD phones this year, Huawei seems to be heading towards that. As it plans to release the next Mate 11 (also known as Mate 20) with a fingerprint sensor under the screen. Huawei said it preferred to choose the Qualcomm fingerprint sensor because it uses ultrasound technology.

Mate 11/20 is expected to be launched in the late third or early fourth quarter of this year (September or October). Qualcomm has previously partnered with GIS in Taiwan and China-based O-Film Tech, a specialist in the manufacture of touch screens, to provide a fingerprint sensor with ultrasound technology under the screen.

Qualcomm 's fingerprint sensor seems to be different from any other sensor. It is capable of fingerprint scanning through screens up to 800 microns in contrast to the normal sensors that operate from 200-300 microns. The Qualcomm sensor works even if The fingers are moist.
