"Google Files Go" file management application has become smarter with a new update
Google released the Google Files Go file management application late last year. There are already a large number of file management applications available for Android devices on the Google Play Store, but the Google app is a direct option for those looking to dive into their device memory. In keeping with this, Google has released a new update to the Google Files Go application today, which enables the application to provide smarter search functions for files.
Google Files Go not only allows users to manage their files, but also helps free up more space on their devices. It offers special suggestions on which items users can delete to save more space, such as unused applications, duplicate copies, and more.
The Google Files Go app now lets users search for files on their phones just as they search the web with Google. The company added its experience in search to the application, which means that it now has features such as instant results, autocomplete and search records. The application has made it easy to remove duplicate files from the very beginning. Now, when duplicate files are suggested for removal, it will also provide the location of the file when the user clicks on the thumbnail and clicks on the "i" icon.
Last but not least, Google Files Go can now work seamlessly with the Google Photos app. Once you have a backup copy of your photos and videos in the Google Photos service, the app can automatically detect this and let the user delete these files to save more space on your device. The new version of the Google Files Go app is available for download on the Google Play Store.
