The Sony Xperia XZ2 Pro includes an 18: 9 display screen
Sony is expected to announce the Xperia XZ2 Pro along with the Xperia XZ2 during the MWC 2018 World Mobile Congress.
Earlier in January, Sony unveiled its Xperia XA2, Xperia XA2 Ultra and Xperia XA2 phones at the Consumer Electronics Show this year. As it has not unveiled any flagship phones during the CES 2018, many rumors have spoken that the company Japan is preparing to unveil such phones at its press event on February 26, in conjunction with the MWC 2018 World Mobile Congress to be held later this month.
Although Sony has not confirmed anything about the new devices that may be unveiled, it is expected to announce the Xperia XZ2 Pro, which may be the first attempt by the Japanese company to provide OLED screens on their phones, along with the possibility of advertising The Xperia XZ2, the successor to last year's Xperia XZ1.
Now, new hints come through a performance test that suggests that the Xperia XZ2 Pro, the H8116, is powered by the Android Orio 8.1 and has a screen resolution of 848 x 424 pixels, which is equivalent to the 2: 1 aspect ratio, which means that the Xperia XZ2 Pro may support resolution 3840 × 1920 pixels and 18: 9 aspect ratio. It also explains the company's abandonment of the OmniBalance design that it has used on its smartphones since 2013.
The phone is expected to include the Snapdragon 845 processor from Qualcomm, with a dual 18x12 megapixel camera, a 13 megapixel front camera, 6 GB of RAM and 64/128 GB of internal storage that can be expanded through a port MicroSD, a 3420 mAh battery, with support for the IP68 standard.
According to the information, the device may reach the market in June, after being unveiled during the MWC 2018, at a cost of 950 US dollars, with the possibility that the Xperia XZ2 comes with the same design and processor, but with a lower specification compared to the Xperia XZ2 Pro.
