Google Reveals a Vulnerability in Microsoft 's Edge Browser

Google granted Microsoft 104 days before the announcement of the new vulnerability.

Google has discovered security flaws in competitors' products several times over the past few years, causing problems with other companies, such as Microsoft, which seem to be waiting for a new problem, especially after Google discovered a new loophole.

Last November, Google discovered a security flaw in the EDGE web browser, and because the usual time between the moment the company was notified of the vulnerability and then disclosed to the public was 90 days, Google made the announcement, but unfortunately Microsoft did not fix the gap so far, With Google giving it an additional 14 days.

Because Microsoft used to launch a security update every month under the name Patch Tuesday because it launches it every time on Tuesday, she said about the vulnerability revealed by Google that the past reform is dead, because the gap is more complex than initially expected.

According to the Google engineer who discovered the gap, Microsoft has not yet decided on a specific date to launch an update that fixes the gap, yet it appears that the company is determined to add the fix to Tuesday's correction scheduled for next March.

Google's moves are now likely to cause some problems between the two companies. Microsoft has never been happy with Google's aggressive disclosure policies.

In the past, Google revealed flaws and loopholes for the public only days after Microsoft was notified. But the last step will not prevent a problem, but Microsoft should constantly push towards speeding up these security updates to protect its users.
