Sony's latest phones have an option that makes the screen frequency 120 Hz

This feature of Sony is ideal for video game enthusiasts because these fast games require such speed.

Users have discovered that Xperia XZ Premium, Xperia X Performance, Xperia XZ1 and many other Sony phones include an option to make the screen support 120 Hz.

XDA published the news after some users reported that they found this option on the Android 8.1 AOSP of Sony, but there was no way to activate it.

The site noted that the switch between display modes does not work; however, this does not necessarily mean that the screen mode itself will not work, and it seems that it may require some additional actions from Sony.

The Razer Phone, made specifically for video game enthusiasts, was one of the first to introduce a 120-hz screen because fast video games require such speed.

These include Sony Xperia X, Xperia XZ, Xperia XZ1 Compact, Xperia XA2 and Xperia XA2 Ultra.

But why Sony incorporated this feature into the system without its support properly, we do not know. It may have been a destination feature abandoned or something Sony wanted to add to a future update.
