Samsung updates Always On Display to support GIF images

You can always add images to the "Always On Display" screen to customize the look of your phone while viewing time, date, and notifications. Now, Samsung has updated the Always On Display application to support GIF animations to enhance the ability to customize the look of the screen.

Version 3.2.26.4 of the Always On Display application allows you to set any GIF animation to decorate the Always On Display screen by opening the animation in the Gallery application and clicking on the full menu, then selecting the "Set as Always On Display" option. However, there are some restrictions that you should know.

The app only supports GIF animations. Furthermore, if the GIF image is too long, the app will ask you to cut it to be shorter. Finally, even though you're using a GIF image that works continuously on the Always On Display screen, it will only be activated once, when the screen is locked. This image will remain fixed on one frame after the end of the first animation.

The app has been updated to work with Galaxy S8, Galaxy S8, and Galaxy Note 8. This feature should also be ready on the Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9 phones. If you do not see the update and want to install it manually, go to the source link below where you can upload your APK.
