Samsung may begin selling custom protective covers through its official theme store
Samsung Theme Store is a great source for those who want to customize the look of their smartphones. There are countless free and paid themes that owners of Galaxy phones can access through the app. What if someone wanted to get a protective cover for their device that matches the look of the theme they use? Well, if the report we received today is true, Samsung may soon start selling customizable protective covers through the Samsung Theme Store.
The report states that Samsung will soon allow users to order custom protective covers according to the themes and backgrounds available at Samsung Theme Store. The company will probably make it possible for customers who own the Galaxy A Series, Galaxy S Series, Galaxy Note Series, or Nougat. Customers who chose backlit covers used in their smartphones will be able to choose between three slightly modified versions of that background.
What is not clear at the moment is whether Samsung will design custom protective covers inside the company and then ship them to customers or whether they will delegate this task to a third party. It is not clear whether the use of specific backgrounds and themes in designated protective covers will be approved. It will be very difficult for Samsung to respond to all requests quickly if you have opened the possibility of using all the backgrounds and themes available in the store in the protective covers allocated.
The report also states that this service may only be offered to customers in South Korea initially. Unfortunately, there is currently no information about the price, and whether we will see this service being offered to customers outside of South Korea.
