LG gets a patent for a Foldable smartphone
The new patent shows that LG is working on several different designs for smart phones that may bring dual folding screens.
Over the past few years, we have seen how smartphones are gradually increasing. Last year, companies began to adopt a policy of reducing the size of the front edges of the phone to gain more display space.
Folding phones will be the next trend for phone designs in the coming years, which LG is trying to invest in with the new patent introduced in September 2016 to the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO), which was published several days ago via the FAO database .
For details, the new patent is titled "Portable Station" and includes a set of images illustrating the possible design of the folding phone, including a dual curved screen at the edges that can be used to display time, date and other notifications, a dual battery, The traditional head is 3.5 mm long.
The images show that the device can be used by two people when it is opened to watch videos separately with the two headphone ports. Although the patent is introduced in September 2016, it shows that the main screen for the built-in fingerprint reader is available.
LG seems to be focusing on the multimedia experience of this folding smartphone, allowing users to experiment with different types of multimedia content without disturbing each other. The technology can be used on smartphones, tablets, laptops, multimedia devices, and wearable devices .
Speaking of folding phones, LG is not the only one considering this trend. Samsung has been making great efforts to launch its Galaxy X mobile phone, as well as ZTE, which previously offered ZTE Axon M .
It should be noted that these designs may not be used in any of the company's next phones, and it may not exceed the stage of obtaining a new patent added to the record of LG.
