Integration with Giphy animation returns to Snapchat application

Last month, after users discovered a gif animated GIF on the Giphy platform, which was also integrated with Instagram and Snapchat, the two companies opted to temporarily disable integration. However, the good news for Instagram users is re-integration earlier this week, but Snapchat users have been suspended, at least until now.

Snapchat users who are looking to use GIF animations on their stories will be happy to see that Snapchat has today re-integrated with the Giphy platform. We are not sure why Snapchat has been waiting all this time to restore this integration at first, but we believe that coming late is better than never coming, so Snapchat users can refer to incorporating GIF images into their stories and publications.

As for the Giphy platform, she told The Verge: "A flaw in our content filtering system, which particularly affected GIF labels, allowed that racist image to appear in the first place." Since then, the company has apologized for the case and said it has subdivided its database to try to find other offensive GIF images.
Giphy also stated that it has taken a number of measures to prevent the emergence of racist GIF images in its library again. It remains to be seen whether these measures will in turn or not, and we hope that these measures will be sufficient to prevent this from happening again.
