Instagram application gets a new feature called "Focus"
You may have noticed that a lot of smart phones these days are bringing with it a Portrait Mode. This mode allows you to keep the main element in the image within the focus area while other elements are blurred in the background. You can now get a similar result using the Instagram application, which provides specific devices with a similar feature. Instagram announced a new status called Focus.
The new Focus mode can be found next to the Superzoom mode under the Instagram button. Once someone appears in the shot, the feature will automatically appear and you'll notice that the person will remain in focus while the background is unclear. This makes the person stand out "in an eye-catching fashion," according to Instagram.
The new Focus mode can be used for both photos and videos. Once you're done, you can also add filters, stickers, and text to your photo or video before you post it to Instagram or send it to friends via Instagram Direct.
Instagram says Focus is supported by iPhone SE, iPhone 6S / 6S Plus, iPhone 7/7 Plus, iPhone 8/8 Plus and iPhone X. It is also supported by a number of Android devices, but the names of these devices are not detected So far by Instagram company.
