Google expands anti - ad blocking tool for more countries

Google is expanding its initiative that allows sites and publishers to display a customized message explaining how ad blocking software affects their business and content.

In recent months, Google has targeted "spam" that leads to bad user experiences and tends to provide a blanket ban on all ads. In February, the company launched the built-in ad blocking tool within its Chrome Web browser to help mitigate the problem.

Another Google initiative, called Funding Choices, seems to be seeing more and more features in the coming weeks, the first of its kind in the past year, mainly basic ads that tell users of ad blocking software about the consequences of their actions .

According to Google, many of these people do not intend to defend the sites they like when installing ad blocking software, and the initiative is still part of the beta. It works by allowing sites and publishers to display a customized message explaining how ad blocking software affects their business and content.

Publishers also receive access to tools and statistics that identify visitors who have installed ad blocking software and see how effective their messages are.

There are three forms available for feedback, ranging from simply alerting the user to not allowing viewers who have installed ad blocking software to read content or limit the number of pages that can be read per month.

According to Google, the results are promising, pointing out that millions of users of monthly ad blocking software now choose to view and view ads within publisher sites, or to list those sites whitelisted after seeing the initiative's message.

Last month alone, more than 4.5 million visitors agreed to allow ads to be seen, resulting in more than 90 million additional ad views for these sites. In the coming weeks, Google will provide the tool in 31 additional countries, Over the past year in Australia, Germany, Britain, New Zealand and the United States.
