Gamestop expects Nintendo Switch performance to be strong in the 2018 market
Last time we got an update on Nintendo's Switch sales, the device exceeded 14.8 million units shipped globally from early March through December of last year. The device achieved record sales in the United States, achieving the first year of sales of any household device in the history of US markets.
Hardware sales at Gamestop Stores rose 28.3% thanks to this device last year, and the company expects another strong year for sales, according to comment Michael Mauler, CEO of the company:
"I think this year considering the list of upcoming games, many of which have not yet been announced, will be very strong, too. In 2018, the gaming list will boost sales of equipment and increase the percentage of purchases per consumer."
