YouTube starts supporting vertical video automatically on Android


Last December, YouTube began supporting that feature on iOS devices, and now the feature has started to reach Android devices.

In line with this trend, YouTube announced in June that its applications on mobile devices will support a dynamic video player that adjusts the screen to display the video according to the size and aspect ratio recorded, if vertically it will display the video vertically automatically, and so on.

Last December, YouTube began to support that feature on iOS devices, and now the feature has begun to reach Android devices.

Whatever video format, vertically fills the screen or square, it will fill the screen to allocate the remaining space to display traditional information, such as video title, toolbar, and viewing suggestions.
