YouTube allows offline video playback in 125 countries

YouTube has the ability to download videos for offline viewing for the first time in India in 2014, and has been deployed to other regions now, with 125 countries worldwide getting the download button.

YouTube has made this feature available to countries with low Internet connectivity, with some restrictions on this feature, and users can see countries that support it from here.

Videos can only be downloaded using the mobile app, not on your computer, and videos will only be available to watch for 48 hours unless you're connected to the Internet during that period, and some videos are not fully available for offline playback.

If you live in one of these countries, when you go to the video watch page, you'll see a new download button after the likes, dislikes, and sharing options. You can press the button to start the download, and after you've finished, you'll find the option turned blue Has been downloaded.

If your Internet connection is lost during the download process, the process will resume from where you left off as soon as you connect to the wireless network or turn on your portable data.

After that time, your device should be reconnected to the Internet to check for changes, indicating that non-music content can be viewed for up to 29 days after downloading in some countries. There are also some videos that are not available for offline playback, The download is gray and you will not be able to use it.
