What to do if you forget your Apple ID account


Apple offers many ways to restore your Apple ID account, but unfortunately many users are unaware of these methods and review shops to get a new account and pay additional costs.

Is the account you use to sign in to all Apple services. If you forget your Apple ID, or if you're not sure your ID is available, there are some ways to find it.

Find out if you're signed in with an Apple ID
You may be signing in on an Apple device. View the Apple ID that you use for Apple services.

On your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Look for the Apple ID in your iCloud, iTunes, or App Store settings.
iCloud

Click "Settings"> [your name]. On iOS 10.2 or earlier, click Settings> iCloud.
iTunes and App Store
Click "Settings"> [your name]> iTunes and App Store. On iOS 10.2 or lower, click Settings> iTunes and App Store.

You can also try the following other services:

  • Click Settings> Accounts & Passwords. On iOS 10.3 or older, click Settings> Mail, Contacts, Calendars.
  • Click Settings> Messaging> Send & Receive.
  • Click Settings> FaceTime.
  • Click Settings> Mail, Contacts, Calendars.

On the Mac
  • Go to the Apple menu ()> System Preferences, then click iCloud.
  • Go to the Apple menu ()> System Preferences> Internet Accounts, then look for accounts using iCloud.
  • Open iTunes, then choose Account> My Account. If you're signed in to iTunes using the Apple ID, you'll see your account name and email address.
  • Open the App Store, then choose "Store"> "My Account View".
  • Open iBooks, then choose "Store"> "Show my Apple ID".
  • Open FaceTime, choose FaceTime> Preferences, then click Settings.
  • Open "Messages", then select "Messages"> "Preferences", then click "Accounts."

On your Apple TV

  • Open Settings, then choose Accounts> iCloud.
  • Open Settings and choose Accounts> iTunes and App Store.

On PC 

  • Open iCloud for Windows.
  • Open iTunes, then choose Account> My Account. If you're signed in to iTunes using the Apple ID, you'll see your account name and email address.

On iCloud.com

  • Go to iCloud.com. If you're signed in to iCloud, click Settings. If you are not signed in to iCloud, Apple ID may preload data on the sign-in screen.


If you can find your Apple ID, but do not remember your password, reset your password.
