Vivo unveils Super HDR technology that will revolutionize the world of photography

Vivo's new Super HDR technology captures 12 frames per scene and uses artificial intelligence to analyze it.
Since the beginning of the year, Chinese Vivo has attracted many innovations and revolutionary products. It was the first company to offer a smart phone, the Vivo X20 Plus UD, with a built-in fingerprint sensor.


Then it unveiled its Vivo Apex, which is thought to revolutionize the smartphone world. It comes with a screen that covers the entire front, no protrusions, and so on, it relies on a trick that hides the front camera inside the device to get the camera out when shooting.

The company has apparently not yet run out, unveiling a new imaging technology, dubbed Super HDR, which is also believed to revolutionize the world of photography.

But what does Super HDR mean? First of all, the popular HDR technology allows phones to take pictures with a wider range of colors than normal, by taking a number of frames to the same scene with different levels of exposure, then using software to collect frames and provide the best picture with colors closer to the truth.

Although HDR has been in the world of smartphones and cameras for years, Vivo says that Super HDR will improve the current technology by supporting a dynamic field with 14 value propositions, thanks to its ability to capture 12 frames per image.

In addition to the improvements made by additional frames, Vivo says Super HDR uses artificial intelligence to analyze the scene, choose the correct exposure to use when taking pictures, and then select the frames you want to merge.

Although it is difficult to judge the capabilities of the new Super HDR technology, the images published by Vivo appear to be promising. The company's announcement did not come on the phone that would support the technology, but reports from China said it would be Vivo Apex.
