Motorola denies rumors and says that Moto Z Series series still exists
Earlier this week there were some rumors that Motorola had laid off a large number of its employees at the company's offices in Chicago. It was then said that the company owned by Lenovo had deposited 50 percent of its employees there. However, it has now become clear that the rumors are incorrect after Motorola issued an official statement confirming that the rumors are incorrect. Here is the full statement below:
"In late 2017, Lenovo announced the possibility of a global resource action in the coming quarters, a process that affects less than 2 percent of the company's global workforce. The demobilization of this week's staff is part of this process. We're cutting Motorola's operations in Chicago, but that did not affect half of our workforce there and our Moto Z Series will continue. "
As explained by Motorola in the above statement, this is the development that has been completed for some time and, most importantly, the leading Moto Z Series has not been discontinued as a result. Also, the layoff will not affect half of Chicago's workforce.
