Galaxy Note 9 will feature the fingerprint sensor on the screen, according to a new report

The last thing we heard was that the famous Chinese analyst Ming-Chi Kuo had confirmed that the Galaxy Note 9 would not include the fingerprint sensor on the screen. However, a new report from South Korea has now been issued otherwise.

Korea Herald reports that Samsung is likely to include the fingerprint sensor on the Galaxy Note 9, which is expected to be released in the second half of this year. "Samsung Display has set up three or four solutions for Samsung Electronics to incorporate the fingerprint sensor into the main screen, both of which are seriously considering a solution," one source said.

The report also says that the delay in relying on a solution is "because of the adoption of a fingerprint sensor inside the screen," adding that a final decision on this issue is expected sometime this month. Of course, the presence of a fingerprint reader under the device screen will provide more space for a relatively larger battery, presumably this is what Samsung is looking for in the Galaxy Note 9.
