Ford is setting up a giant car dealership machine with Alibaba

Ford is looking for new ways to sell its cars. Over the past two years, the US company has been dealing with the idea of creating giant structures that are essentially a vending machine. Ford has now built its first vending machine with China's e-commerce giant Alibaba after a nearly two-year partnership.

The new multi-storey giant vending machine is located in Guangzhou, China, and includes dozens of Ford brand cars. Users can simply choose the car they want from the Alibaba Tmaill application and then take it for a three-day driving test.

So customers will have time to get used to the new car and decide whether they want to buy it or not. The program benefits from Alibaba services and gives potential customers discounts and incentives based on their rate of use of services that are part of the Alibaba system.

The concept of storing cars in mechanical installations is not new. In fact, this idea dates back to the early 20th century, but it is rarely used to sell cars. For this reason, Ford decided to cooperate with Alibaba and provide customers with a new way to buy cars. However, it remains to be seen whether this new way of selling cars will open its way to other markets around the world or not.
