Finally, the Chrome OS system arrive to tablets with Acer Chromebook Tab 10
Since Google first launched Chrome OS in June 2011, we've seen laptops, desktops, mutant computers and all-in-one computers, but so far the system has not made its way to the tablet market, Although it is designed in a way that makes it easy to operate on those devices, as it does not require a lot of resources.
Today, however, Google and Acer have announced the launch of the first Chrome OS tablet, the Acer Chromebook Tab 10, which Google has confirmed is primarily aimed at the education sector.
Acer Chromebook Tab 10 offers standard Android or iOS tablet PCs, including a 9.7-inch screen with 2048 x 1536 pixels resolution, two rear and front cameras and a 9-hour battery.
The device features an OP1 processor, 4 GB RAM and 32 GB of internal storage space, expandable via microSD memory cards, and a USB-C port for earphones.
But the Acer Chromebook Tab 10 has an electronic pen, like some Samsung notebooks and Note series phones.
Acer plans to roll out its first Chrome OS tablet at a price starting at $ 329, the same for less iPad than Apple's price.
