Microsoft looks to give up passwords in Windows 10 S

The fact that different applications, services, and sites use different types of passwords (some are alphabetic passwords, some require symbols, some require a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters), it may be tedious to try to remember each. Password management applications are the only way to overcome this problem, but what about completely removing passwords?

This seems to be something Microsoft is studying for Windows 10 S. According to Microsoft, "Do you hate entering your passwords all the time? so do we. Passwords are uncomfortable and insecure. With Windows 10 S you will not have to! Just download the App Authenticator application and use it to set up your Windows 10 S. You will be able to switch to a unified experience, set up Windows Hello and access all your favorite applications and services - all without having to enter your password. "

This does not mean that your computer will not be locked. This means that users now have a different way of securing their computers' login processes in a way that they will not have to remember, for example through fingerprint recognition, facial recognition, PIN, which can be easier to remember.

As Forbes explained, these methods are already in place to log in. However, in this last change, Microsoft does not ask users to set a password first before choosing one of those options.
