If you're having a conversation from your Chrome OS device running Chrome OS and you want to include emoticons within the conversation, fortunately, there's an easy way to find emoticons using the virtual keyboard on your screen.

How to use emoticons in Chrome OS
Input options
The best part of this process is that it does not require you to install any extensions

- To get started, click the avatar in the bottom right corner of the Chrome OS interface.
- Click the settings icon that will take you to a new list of settings.
- Now, go to the bottom of the list and expand to Advanced.
- Select the Language and Input section.
- Go to the input method section.
- Finally, switch to Show input options.

Launch Virtual Keyboard
Now that you've added the input method code, just click it, and the pop-up dialog box will show all the different ways you can enter the text, including the emoji option.

Now click the emoticon and you will see the keyboard emoticons in the bottom third of the screen, just click on the text field on the screen and then select the emoticons you want.

Find emoticons
Sometimes when you turn on the default keyboard, emoticons do not immediately appear, just like with keyboards on Android devices, where the emoticons section is almost invisible.

The first thing you need to do is click on the three-point icon, from there, select the smiley icon, and you will be taken to the emoticons section.

Once you have added an expression code to a text or a tweet, you can click the keyboard icon in the lower right corner and the keyboard will disappear.
