How do you get "Always-On Display" feature on any Android phone?

The Always-On Display feature on Samsung's leading phones and LG displays battery information, notifications, clock, calendar and weather while the screen is closed. The MOTO screen also offers a similar feature called the Ambient Display, which takes advantage of the proximity sensor to display information.

If you want to bring such a useful feature to your phone, it is possible, as long as the screen works OLED screen like the AMOLED screen, in other words it is never recommended to follow the method below to bring the "Always-On Display" of the phones with LCD.

Why is it not recommended to bring in the LCD "Always-On Display" feature? Simply because the pixels of the black OLED display are not lit, while the black LCD pixels are illuminated, so lighting the entire LCD screen all the time means a quick battery life.

Glance Plus: Combines the permanent screen and the surrounding screen

Glance Plus offers a permanent screen similar to that in Moto phones, so you can take advantage of proximity sensors to feel near you (such as waving your hand near your phone) and then do a permanent display that displays information without having to open the phone screen.

The application also offers a permanent display mode during charging (picture below), and you can choose General charging or using a USB cable or AC or wireless charging.

Once you open the application you will find a comprehensive set of customization settings such as choosing to display notifications for some applications, display color on screen, place of display, and level of display lighting. In the surround screen options you will find activation when you remove the phone from the pocket and activate when the screen is closed.

Tips for using Glance Plus
As we know, the biggest disadvantage of OLED displays is that they are stressed out by long-term content exposure, and stress occurs when you see remnants of a high-quality image or video, for example, leaving it working for a long time. To avoid OLED screen stress, the following are recommended:

1. Retain as far as possible the default settings or Random Sitting application.

2. Minimize on-screen content (notifications for limited apps, battery, and clock). It is also strongly advised to avoid displaying weather information.

3. In order to maintain a longer battery life, it is recommended not to activate the "Always-On Display", and only activate the "surrounding screen" that feel close to the phone.
